Granted

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of GRANTED from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Brielle is a genie who has been stuck in her magical town for far too long. She wants for someone to rub her lamp so she can finally make a wish and come into her magic,  Unfortunately for her, Brielle's first assignment, was  Addie, who gave up on wishing long ago after she tried to wish her parents back into her life. If this wasn't enough for poor Brielle, she soon finds that genies are dying while she is adjusting to life as a teenager making friends and dealing teenage boys and another genie love interest. This book has the twist and turns you're looking for with multiple stories lines that run into one. I love the character development in Brielle and even her caretaker, but I do hope in future books we get to know more about addie's and the rocks life. This book was a new for me reading about genies, and I can't say I've read anything regarding genies before and didn't know there was even a genre for it, but this genie book left me wanting its next book and to read more in this genre.

I highly recommend this book especially if you're new to genies genre. I can't wait to read more by Michelle Merrill

Cute Drool Bibs!

Zoozik Bandana Bibs

I LOVE these drool bibs!! They couldn't have come at a better time; my baby girl started teething, and it's been nothing but drool! These bandanas cover her neck so well and has helped alleviate the drool rash quite well! I would highly recommend the for a baby shower gift or is you have a baby. I prefer these to bibs especially when we're out; it looks like it's part of outfit instead of there to catch drool!

K-CARAFE 2.0 Reusable Filter and K-CUP 2.0 Single Cup Reusable Filters Gift Set From Freedom Brew

So this morning prompted a product review. I am still thriving ( see health post) but being a new mommy, the hubby was off underwater in the Navy for most of the May, and no reprieve to get sleep, I have been drinking coffee again. This morning was no different than the last few, hubby has duty today so it's me and baby girl all day and night and we are just starting a schedule and sleep training so I brew a whole carafe of coffee this morning to drink throughout the day. I have the grounds but not the pods for a carafe plus I still find brewing the pods to be weaker in the carafe. This is where my handy reusable pods are great! I was able to brew a mix of coffee this morning of hazelnut and vanilla biscotti and make it to my taste and strength! Now, I have newer Keurig 2.0, and that's what it's for, and it's saved me money in the long run with k cup in my favorite coffee. I also use it for loose tea. If you're interested in the beauty its on Amazon for $13 for both the k-cup and carafe reusable pod. . (K-CARAFE 2.0 Reusable Filter and K-CUP 2.0 Single Cup Reusable Filters Gift Set From Freedom Brew). I hope you enjoy it as much as i do!

On The Road Again

Hello everyone,

It's been a silent few months and for that, I apologize. I wanted to blog my infertility journey as I went but after 15 months and much lost it was hard for me to find it in me to even get up each day let alone blog. When our IVF took in July of last year, I had the best of intentions of again blogging, but I spent most of pregnancy either bleeding, having high blood pressure or just scared of losing this baby. However, I did chronicle this journey through photos and person journals and will begin to share now. The first thing I do want to share is if you have experienced loss or struggled with infertility, check out Hope Mommies (http://hopemommies.org/ https://www.facebook.com/groups/hopemommies/). I found a lot of peace, encouragement and fellowship there, a loss can feel like the loneliest times but here I knew I wasn't alone. Their facebook page is a closed group for a good reason, but they have another group called New Blessing for pregnancies after a loss.

Outside of my infertility journey, I want to document my road back to yoga, a complicated pregnancy left little room for yoga and inversions! I have my postpartum appointment in 10 days and hopefully, get the clear to go back to working out. I've missed my yoga wheel, and I will be back to my couch to 5k, I am not much of a runner, but hopefully this will help.  Besides working out, you will see my love for Doctor Who, Star Wars and all things geeky as well as my love for essential oils!

That's all for now! Thank you for taking this journey with me. I will leave you a post I held dearly to my heart daily by French Press Mornings. (http://frenchpressmornings.com/2014/07/encouraging-wednesdays-1-corinthians-138/)

I knew joy was coming during my journey, this was a helpful reminder.

[Apple MFI Certified] Zealectro 3.3ft Nylon Braided USB Cable with Lighting Connector for Apple iPhone 6s Plus

I did receive this product at a discount for its evaluation and review. What I love about this particular cable is that the nylon is braided making it durable. I have had a few lighting cables, and most of them end up destroyed, the cables have either looked burned and stopped working or damaged.

This connector heads on this cable are bigger in size than the Apple cables, which is a beneficial because I found it easier to plug in and not fumble with it. However, it required that I removed most of my cases to use. The product measures a 5/8th inch long by 3/8th inch wide by 1/4th inch thick. It has been an amazing product and is still in good shape and functioning 30 days later.

My new favorite yoga mat!!

I purchased a new yoga mat from Chak Fitness and I must say I love this mat! I have 2 cheaper mats from Ross that I brought for comfort and to feel like I am not engaging in my practice on concrete. Though this looks thin it is quite cushioned! out home has all laminate flooring so the cushion from the mat has improved my motivation to practice and reduce the lack of focus from pain in my hands and heels. I also love that I don't slide towards the end of workout due to sweating.

I did receive this item at a discount for an honest review but I have brought for my fellow yogi friend at full price and she loves it! If you're interested in buying it click the link below!

I've been gone for a bit and I apologize. The road to baby Roarke has taken its toll and I just needed a break for a bit. However, there is great news on that front and I will be making a post by this weekend!

Are you Thriving?! I am and love it!

Back at the end of April, I had a lot of health issues and still do. It was harder to cope with these problems because well to be quite honest I was just out of energy and fatigued. A girlfriend of mine reached out to me and asked me if I was interested in thriving with her. I was quite leery because I had been doing AdvoCare but after my first 24-day challenge it was like my body adapted to spark, and all the meds. It had my blood pressure out of control and provider asked me to stop most of my AdvoCare products. It left me with the fiber powder, rehydrated and bars. She explained to me she wasn't interested in my weight loss aspect if I lost weight great, but it was the energy levels she thought I would benefit from.  I looked over some of the information and yes people lost weight but most people raved about the energy they had, they lost the weight because at the end of the day they had the energy to go to to gym and do the meal prepping. So I decided I had nothing to lose in trying, I was already bed bound due to pain and sleeping most of the day anyways. I've been thriving since the start of May, and I haven't looked back, I've lost a few pounds, but mainly I have the energy to tackle the day! Yes, I am still in pain, but I manage that with a pain pill and the DFT patches from Thrive help me handle the drowsiness. So instead taking 2-3 naps a day for at least 2 hours I am taking 2-3 naps a week at the moment and those are on my heavy workout days, and I need the 3 pills a day to manage pain but the naps last 60 mins if I am lucky because I keep my patch on.

The DFT Ultra patch helps with weight management, mental clarity, appetite control, metabolic support and is an all-natural time-release patch that you can leave on for up to 24 hours. Thrive recommends using their line of capsule and shakes but my husband snipes just my patches every now and again during long duty days, and it works well for him. Even if you don't want to try their entire brand, I truly do think the patches are amazing. My husband is an energy drink fiend and will have 3-4 on a duty shift that he tells me about, but when he had to do nights with no notice, he was down to one drink in the wee hours of the morning while taking this patch.

If you're interested in trying the whole brand or even just the patched check out their site. Kahneenees.Le-Vel.com
